DESIRIAL® products are based on the VIVACY’s exclusive and patented IPN-Like Technology, with stabilised hyaluronic acid and the antioxidant mannitol.

Hyaluronic acid is a naturally-occurring molecule in the human body, particularly in the skin and mucous membranes. It has the specific feature of retaining up to 1,000 times its weight in water², contributing to the hydration and the tone of the concerned tissues³.

Hyaluronic acid has a short half-life and is soluble in water, so it needs to be cross-linked in order to stabilise the product. This process will bind molecules together according to the patented IPN-Like Technology and will allow to obtain a cohesive gel that will last for several months.

As a result, DESIRIAL® is able to maintain its hydrating capabilities for several months.

The IPN-Like Technology of Laboratoires Vivacy is a unique and patented (since 2007) technology that acquired recognised efficacy and tolerance in the Aesthetic and Anti-ageing Medicine with the STYLAGE® range of dermal fillers.

This technology involves interpenetration of two hyaluronic acid monophasic cross-linked networks to stabilise hyaluronic acid for safe and long-lasting therapeutic effects.

Mannitol is an antioxidant incorporated in DESIRIAL® products to limit the gel’s degradation immediately after injection. It scavenges the free radicals generated by the penetration of the needle or cannula during injection. As a consequence Mannitol helps to protect the hyaluronic acid molecules during the first hours after injection⁴.
